1. (noun) One who is in any kind of intoxicating state. One who is not sober.

2. (verb) wonked/wonking - One who is injesting legal/illegal substances, which result in an intoxicating effect on the body.

3. (adjective) wonky - One who is acting out of charcter due to the consumption of legal/illegal substances.

I just drank that whole fifth of Bacardi and I am so wonked.

WONK

Used to denote people who are or assumed to be quite knowledgeable in at least one particular area of interest and have little or no known in person social life. Generally socially akward.

The current use of WONK is as an acronym popular in the "In" crowd. Possible meanings.

1. Without Normal Knowledge - Possible, but awkward.

2. Weird Ole Nerdy Kid - Has always fit the contexted in which it was used better.

In my experience the second is more probable.

Youi're a WONK. No I'm not.

Someone who professes to know a lot about something although they have no real-world qualifications. Used most often in regards to politics. It may be a well-schooled person, but one who has no real-world experience. I don't know why this is on UrbanDictionary since it's already in Webster's.

"The President is heading toward war despite protests among the political wonks."

"Even the most enlightened music wonks still can't understand why rap is a $100 billion industry."
