One of the seven words that constitute the Arabic language. The other words being, jehad, muhammed, sherpa, bakkala, allah and burkha.

Ignorant Americans use some of these revered words in random combinations to denote Arabs, camels, sand, desert, islam, terrorists, koran etc.

Arab_1: Derka, derka muhammed jehad?
Arab_2: Sherpa allah bakkala burkha burkha!

Ignorant American in a kebab shop: One burkha please.

1. In the card game of Hearts, the "Derka" is the Queen of Spades. Usually, the short phrase "Derka, Derka, Derka" sung in lowering intervals as in the first three notes of the Mario - Dungeon theme, when the Derka is dropped on another player.

2. When used in singular form, can refer to the game of Hearts itself.

3. Sweet Derka in your mouth. Need I say more?

Apparently a fake Arabic word, but inexplicably used in high schools to refer to the kids who take classes in the information technology program, which is also quite inexplicably confined to the basement.

"Working on the derka page in the yearbook. . .but I haven't taken any pictures because they never seem to be in their classrooms!"
