Liberaltarianism

This is not the philosophy that liberals follow, that is liberalism. This is Liberaltarianism. It is different.

A political philosophy that combines Liberalism and Libertarianism. Liberaltarians are usually left on fiscal issues, such as healthcare and tax policy, and libertarian on issues such as drug and prostitution legalisation. They often do not believe in some social liberal ideas such as affirmative action, smoking bans and hate crimes. They are usually anti war, as both liberalism and libertarianism are, and pro-same sex marriage. Liberaltarians exist in the USA as well as other countries.
People who follow liberaltarianism, liberaltarians, are sometimes called "not real libertarians" by libertarians. Liberaltarians never claim to be. They just claim to have some political beliefs that are taken out of libertarianism, and some that are taken out of liberalism.

lolbertarian

Derogatory slang for "libertarian". Usually used to make fun of self-proclaimed libertarians who are apathetic to or support government expansion. The kind of of person who will say "If the government treads on me, 1776 will commence again!!!" then does nothing when the government treads on them.
So the government is taking your rights and you are just complaining instead standing up to them? You're a huge lolbertarian.

Social Libertarianism

Social libertarianism is the belief in social liberty, i.e., individual independence and communal autonomy from overarching government or state control.

Social libertarianism reject the concentration of decision-making authority into distant, oligarchical, centralized bureaucracies - federal or monolithic - favoring instead the diffusion and localization of that decision-making authority.

Social libertarianism supports a political, social, and economic environment which allows voluntary accession to associations, but also permits a person to choose to remain free of restraint by society, except in cases in which an individual's claim of freedom interferes with another individual's right to be free from unwarranted, aggressive coercion or harm.

Social libertarianism regards free-market capitalism and democratic, communalistic socialism as equally conducive economic means towards the ends of generalistic liberation from tyranny.
Murray Bookchin's support of decentralized, non-hierarchical communal autonomy, coupled with a belief in individual liberty, indicates that he and his adherents ascribe to social libertarianism.
