balkan dad

Doing something regardless of your little to zero knowledge on the subject, refusing any kind of help or advice especially from women and younger people in order to appear smarter and more capable. Often the incompetence of the person performing the balkan dad action is exposed but any kind of feedback is discarded in an attempt to protect their fragile ego.

A fine balance

The most fucking depressing book ever. About a whole lot of folks in India who come together and struggle with the everyday reality of balancing hope and despair. Then they all die, or get castrated, or lose their legs, or commit suicide, or some other awful shit. Also full of really weird sexual stuff. Greta book though. Really.
