Henry wanted to use censorship to fight misinformation, whereas Julie wanted to use misinformation to fight censorship. Henry and Julie were together perpetuating a truthblockade. Burt wanted to break through the truthblockade but Henry couldn’t hear him over Julie’s misinformation, and Julie couldn’t hear him because of Henry’s censorship. Burt began to wonder if Henry and Julie were actually all that different…

Tether

A melanated person who is NOT a foundational black American that uses their melanin ("blackness") to undermine black Americans (FBA). Tethers typically use their "blackness" to act as a representative for black Americans (FBA) for the benefit of their (white) handlers while having disdain for black Americans. Tether can be used as an action noun or as a verb.

Barack Obama is the textbook definition of a tether who used his blackness to get the black vote while not doing anything specifically for black people (FBA)

Truth Bias

The pervasive human cognitive tendency to initially accept information as true, especially if it aligns with pre-existing beliefs or comes from a seemingly credible source, before expending the mental energy to critically evaluate or verify it. It’s the mind’s default "truth until proven false" setting, a mental shortcut that saves energy but makes us vulnerable to misinformation, propaganda, and the first compelling narrative we hear. In a debate, it’s the unfair advantage held by the person who speaks first and most confidently.

Example: You read a headline that says "Study: Coffee Causes Cancer." Your immediate, gut reaction is a spike of worry—that's Truth Bias in action. Only later, if at all, do you check if the study was on rats, involved absurd doses, or was funded by a tea company. The false claim gets a free pass into your brain because skepticism requires conscious effort.
