Look The Other Way 

Verb - in law enforcement, to overlook an obvious criminal or illegal act in order to get bigger or better information about a bigger crime or more important criminal from a perp.
“Ay how did you get out so fast? They just took you down there?”

‘Man, I told them what they wanted to know and they said they would Look The Other Way on that weed I had out on my coffee table! So no possession charges!”

“Boy that’s what’s up. You did what you had to do. You did what you had to do!”

To be delicate or careful about a certain subject or around certain people as to not cause drama or problems.
