The "Wilshaw Effect" is a term coined to describe the cumulative and adverse impact on cognitive function, morale, and decision-making resulting from prolonged exposure and proximity to the phenomenon
known as the "Wilshaw."
Similar to radiation exposure, this effect is particularly potent in hot, arid,
sandy regions. Suspected to also negatively influence intangible aspects such as
Peace, Love, and
Happiness, the Wilshaw Effect necessitates individuals to distance themselves indefinitely from the source of the Wilshaw in order to mitigate its deleterious consequences. The only recognized remedy for the Wilshaw Effect is the removal of oneself from the prevailing influence, acknowledging its potential
long-term consequences on various aspects of well-being.
Mike: "Goddamnit, what happened to this place?! It's barely functioning and
people keep leaving. This project is falling apart!"
Steve: "I believe that's the Wilshaw Effect. We could do something about it but then the project wouldn't be ohhhh so
fucking profitable."
