Windass refers to when a user on an internet message board posts news late or repeats a post made earlier by another user.
It originates from the banrsleyfc.org.uk message boards when rumours of him signing for barnsley were being posted by several people days and even weeks after it had already been posted. 'Dean Windass, 5 match ban' is another form which originates from posters again reporting old news of Mr Windass being given a 5 match ban.
