It is unbelieve that a 'patty shop' (Utech) can actually cause mental break down of its customers.

Utrechtenaar

A euphemism for homosexual.

In 1674 the middlesection of the Dom Cathedral in Utrecht collapsed during a freak storm.

In the centuries since then the ruins of the collapsed section were known to be a gay meeting ground. Hence the name Utrechter for gay men.

People from Utrecht prefer to be adressed as Utrechter, not Utrechtenaar.
