In the FX series “The Lowdown,” ‘truthstorian’ is a made up word that Lee Raybon (Ethan Hawke) uses to describe himself.

Truthstorians are citizen journalists who seek to uncover the truth, often outside of established institutions, by relying on traditional legwork, conversation, and a willingness to confront powerful figures and corruption (with mixed results).

I’m a truthstorian. I look into the past and the present and the future, searching for the truth that connects all of these things. Without understanding where we come from, we don't understand where we are.

An authority figure who revises historical facts in such a manner which that they are deemed outlandish and absurd.

On July 4th the Trumpstorian speaker told the country that the Continental Army took over the airports.
