The Relationship

'The relationship' refers to one's partner, usually female but not exclusively, whether it be girlfriend, fiancée, wife or their male counter-parts. As long as said partner is more than a passing fling then they qualify as 'the relationship'.
To be used as an alternative to your partners name as well as my/the missus, partner, wife, girlfriend, etc.
Sam: "So who's coming around for drinks?"

John: "Jimmy, Sandi, Graeme, The relationship, Will and Laura."

Sam: "That's a cool shirt. Where did you get it from?"

John: "Not sure. The relationship got it for me."

Not quite the friend zone as you may lay with a friend but denied by constant relationships, the friend may become single but will soon run back to said ex leaving you wait longer.

Female of The Relationship

The female of the relationship is the person in a relationship who is more feminine, submissive, or is the one that takes orders. Generally used in a homosexual relationship.
My husband stays home and takes care of the kids. He is not the breadwinner of the household, therefore he is the female of the relationship

b) (forensic/criminal investigations, often used sarcastically): if you can't see the evidence, it doesn't mean it doesn't or can't exist.

John: Whatever man, just because I did your laundry...

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
