In Greek mythology, Tereus /ˈtɛrˌju s/ (Ancient Greek: Τηρεύς) was a Thracian king, the son of Ares and husband of Procne. Procne and Tereus had a son, Itys.
In Greek mythology, Daulis was the hometown of Tereus.
