Tabarnack

Tabarnack is one of the strongest swearing word in french. It comes from "tabernacle" which was a word used in churches back when Quebec was Catholic.
The definition varies:
it can be used as an adjective meaning "a lot"
it can mean a simple swearing word such as "fuck, damnit"
it can be put in the middle of other swear to accentuate the anger
mon osti de tabarnack, ma te tuer!(Fucking asshole, i'll kill you)

Tabarnak

Swear word used in the Canadian French slang language, it originated from the word "tabernacle", a cabinet in Christian churches containing what is needed to celebrate the Eucharist. It is the equivalent of "fuck" in its variety of uses, as it can be used as a noun, an adverb or simply an exclamation. It is commonly used as a way to amplify an emotion, most often a negative one, meaning it can be a form of insult.
- Mon tabarnak! / You fucker! (Noun, insult)
- C'était beau en tabarnak! / It was fucking beautiful! (Adverb) ~ Here we can see the use for either a positive emotion or a sarcastic one.
- Tabarnak! / Fuck! (Exclamation)
- Il était en beau tabarnak ~ Il était en colère. / He was fucking pissed. ~ He was angry. (Noun / Adverb) ~ Here, "tabarnak" is used as a noun (colère), but can only be translated to an adverb. If we translate it word by word: He was in pretty fuck.

tabarnac

In French Canadian slang, pretty much the equivalent of 'fuck' but with no sexual meaning - the word is only used as a vulgar interjection. Thanks to its ample use of the 'a' vowel, it is an extremely satisfying swear word that lets the energy flow through your throat.

The word comes from French 'tabernacle' pronounced with a French Canadian accent. It is unheard of in France.

Note: 'crisse', 'hestie' and 'câlisse' have very similar meanings and are equally vulgar. A locutor can stack them together as to create a rhetorical figure (see examples).
Tabarnac! - shit!

Hestie de câlisse de tabarnac! - fucking shit!

T'es un tabarnac de fif - ur fucking gay

Hestie de tabarnac de plotte - motherfucking cunt
