A common phrase after a Northwood High School party is shut down by the police. Everyone goes to the T-wood (trailwood) pool to resume their shenanigans.
FUCK. Its rolled. Mob T-Wood.

A woodchuck chuck couldn’t chuck wood because a woodchuck chuck is just a piece of wood 

The answer I gave all the children in my elementary classes. Would you?
A child turned to Maddisson. The excitement on their face comparable to her typical stance of life: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck would?

Maddisson was calmer than usual. The sentence was nothing new to her. Her answer became clear after few asks: a woodchuck chuck couldn’t chuck wood because a woodchuck chuck is just a piece of wood.

if you can't bear the fire, don't place the wood 

used when a person provokes others but can't bear when they react, the teaser doesn't like and try to escape
John : You're so stupid Don
Don: I'm not as stupid as your sister
John : don't talk about my sister
Don: If you can't bear the fire, don't place the wood.

can't see the wood for the trees 

To be unable to understand the real situation clearly because you're involvement in it make you loose focus of what is really important
In selling hats at the fair John would not lower the price a single penny . So while he argues that the full price need to be paid to gather as much funds as possible for charity he can't see the wood for the trees, losing sales all day long and collecting much less money than the other that were willing to sell their hat for a little less.

Put wood in t' oil 

A phrase used in parts of Yorkshire, mainly in South Yorkshire as a way to tell someone that they need to shut thier face
Bob: "blah blah blah, random bollocks"
Jim: "Put wood in t' oil will thy, you're getting on me wick"

Can't see the trees for the wood

Used to desribe someone who is so caught up with the big picture that they lose sight of the smaller but more important details. Opposite of can't see the wood for the trees.
"If you pay off an extra €150 a month on your mortgage, you'll pay it off two years earlier and save €4,000 altogether."

"But since my husband lost his job, we're barely making enough to pay the bills as it is; we can't afford an extra €150 every month."

"Ah, but if you just make this sacrifice now, you'll be in a much, much better position in 18 years!"

"But as I said... oh forget it, you can't see the trees for the wood."
