Snowcrete

Concrete-like substance formed from mounds of snow created by snow removal equipment. Although it looks like fluffy snow-drifts, it has a density similar to that of concrete. As snowcrete melts and re-freezes, it's density approaches that of lead.

Fred and Gladys Smith did not receive mail for four weeks as their mailbox was surrounded by snowcrete.
