is referred to the fans of the boy-band, SHINee.

The "sha" part stands for "SHINee"
The "wol" part stands for "world"

So in essence, Shawol = SHINee World. And it describes a fan of SHINee.

Person: Hey, you're a fan of SHINee right?

Fangirl: HECK YEAH!

Person: So then are you a Shawol?

Fangirl: OH YEAH~! I'm a crazy Shawol.

The Shawol's official fan color is baby blue.

Non-shawol

A non-shawol is someone that pretends to be a fan of the group SHINee or is posting disrespectful videos from ex. Jonghyuns funeral.
Even though their intent isn't always malicious they still uses him in videos to gain "sympathy likes".

What makes someone a non-shawol:
1. Uses pictures/videos from Jonghyuns funeral.
2. Doesn't use the appropriate tw (that is: tw dec 18, NOT: tw Jonghyun).

3. Doesn't remove the videos/messages/texts when they're asked to by other real shawols.

4. Says that ex Taehyun from txt looks like Jonghyun.
5. Compares Jonghyun with Sulli or other idol that passed away.

A: OMG I miss Jonghyun, he's looking down on us he's an angle
B: First of all he's atheist. Second of all, do you mean angel, I know he's (a)cute angle but please stop being such a non-shawol, thanks.

Ethereal Shawol 

Usually a non shawol who has a spiritual connection with Kim Jonghyun.

ethereal shawol 

the name comes from two words. shawol being the fandom name for shinee fans and ethereal (by google's meaning) "extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world" meaning that the shawol is sensitive, easily hurt and the light would refer to jonghyun. they really love him so he pretty much a part of them. since the word can also be used for jewellery and that's was the theme shinee went for, it made sense to go by this name.

usually it's a new shawol that has a super strong chemistry with kim jonghyun, a member from shinee, and interacts with him by looking at his videos, talking to the moon and even gets upset whenever they see funeral pictures of him. however, they could get crazy by crying when they don't see the moon, send letter/calls himself and pretends that it's jonghyun, would buy a cardboard cut-out of him and would use that to do weird acts with him and actively flirts with him, all whilst still in denial that they're in love with him. you may think this is bad but oh boy it gets worse-
