shankopotamus 

When someone very, very badly hits a golf ball in a high-pressure situation. This also applies to field goal kicks where the kicker badly chokes. This word is the portmanteau of shank (as hitting a golf ball way off course) and hippopotamus. This word is designed to conjure up images of the worst choke performance you can imagine.

It came down to the last hole, and Gary did a complete shankopotamus. The ball traveled about 10 feet off the tee into the water. He never recovered, lost the round, and lost the game.

A good for nothing whore who ruins the lives of those around it, and threatens to kill it self so people will pay it attention. It has many diseases so if you come in contact with it bathe immediately afterward.

Someone who has the "shanks" so bad and is all over the golf course. Someone not even capable of getting the ball off the ground, and then gets so mad he chucks his club every shot and makes everyone around him uncomfortable.

The best example of a shankapotamus is Stephen Koytek.

Someone who can't keep the ball in play during a round of golf. Hitting the ball to the extreme right (slice) or extreme left (hook).
