Noted shortwave-radio hobbyist and well-respected attendee of the Winter SWL Fests held annually in Kulpsville, PA. As a maverick of cutting-edge fashion, he has made indoor scarf-wearing all the rage among the trendiest hipsters and tripsters of radio ghettos worldwide. Never satisfied with mere radio listening, he has personally logged several thousand serial numbers of every type of radio equipment ever produced. In addition to this exhaustive pursuit, he can be seen frequently recording audio clips of the forums presented at the Winterfests.

Akiva Schaffer
A member of The Lonely Island, a comedy troupe that currently works on Saturday Night Live, Akiva Schaffer writes Saturday Night Live's Digital Shorts along with Jorma Taccone. They usually have third Lonely Island member Andy Samberg as the star. Akiva Schaffer directed The Lonely Island's film: Hot Rod, and has driected a number of music videos for We Are Scientists and Eagles of Death Metal, and more, as well as SNL's digital shorts. Akiva seems to be the least known and recognized member of The Lonely Island, though he has many fans and admirers. He is also called Kiv.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
