sclera Is known by most people as the white of the eye. In some animals the sclera is black, but in humans its white. It contains collagen and other elastic fibers which serve as a layer to protect the more delicate structures within the eye and maintains the round shape of the eye (helps resist against external forces applied to the eye). The sclera also provides a base on which the orbital muscles muscles are attached.
After consuming copious amounts of liquor for over 10 years, Henry developed Alcoholic liver disease. This resulted in Jaundice which caused his sclerae to yellow.

Unusually common for some cartoon characters depicted with small "beady-black eyes" can have their eyes big and white when a strong expression is needed (ex. shock, anger and excite.)
Smileys are known for their signature dot eyes and their emojis like 😳 use to have "bulging with sclerae."
