portmanteau of scam and camera, a term used to describe traffic cameras, speed cameras, red light cameras. which are all about making money not safety

Since the red light scamera was installed they shortened the duration of the yellow light to boost revenue now there are a lot more accidents.

double grat scam

A restaurant server not informing their guest that a gratuity has already been posted to their check (as is policy in many establishments on tables of 6 or 8 or more guests), thereby the guest tips again not realizing it has been included, resulting in the waiter receiving, basically, a double gratuity.

Yeah, but that made his night. Ahhh, the double grat scam...

scamarama

an ecxlamation for the word scam. simply a word to point out that a scam has just been performed, whether it be good or bad.

man-1: Dude, I totally nailed that girl last night.
man-2: Scamarama. Nicely done.

woman: That man just stole my purse.
innocent bystander (to himself): Scamarama.
