Retardican

A relatively young political party, the successor of the Republican Party, but without any of the formers’ dignity. The party’s earliest origins can be traced to late Senator John McCains selection for his running mate, Sarah Palin, during the 2008 presidential election. Since then the party has taken on the key platforms in the candidacy of former President Donald J. Trump, the first of many Retardicans to be elected to public office. Such positions are notable for their outlandish and extremely stupid ideas. These ideas were propagated by recently elected Freshman Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, Senator Joshua Hawley, and several other elected Retardicans including even former President Donald Trump. They include, but are not limited to, the belief that the 2020 election was stolen by pedophiles in the government, giant space lasers funded and built by Jewish philanthropists caused the Californian wildfires, and that the science of climate change and the COVID 19 pandemic are conspiracies fabricated by the Chinese to hurt the American economy.

“Yo, did you hear how that Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene had the courage to confront that crisis actor David Hogg over his part in the false flag shooting at that high school?”

“Yeah I did, but I also know she’s not a true Republican. A true Republican wouldn’t believe that because they’re actually somewhat intelligent. She’s actually Retardican.”

Socially conservative republicans who base their political beliefs on conservative religious beliefs and who are unaware of the logical inconsistencies in their arguments. Retardicans rail against government intrusion in people's lives, but want the government to restrict choice on abortion, disallow gay unions and marriage, pass and enforce laws on drug usage, increase military spending, and proscribe prostitution or other types of sexual interactions they believe are 'sinful'. Retardicans favor laissez-faire capitalism even when it is not in their own economic interest to do so. The actual areas where they want less government intrusion are taxation and gun rights.

The Retardicans at the Tea Party rally held up their signs saying 'Get your government hands off my Medicare.'

Political affiliation name of conservative Americans who vote for the GOP, usually against their own economic interests, and display signs at rallies and protest that read things like "Get your government off my Medicare."

The GOP isn't worried about winning over the Latino vote because it knows it can count on its Retardican base.

The point of one's attraction to another person is so overwhelming or all-consuming, they start acting like a retard. (Usually at least one degree past twitterpated.)

High-profile pseudo-celebrities such as Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, who when confronted with fact, respond with name calling and personal attacks, instead of a rebuttal with an equally compelling point of view. More aggressive than the demotard, the retardican uses catch phrases and repetition to instill fear of total collapse under any other leadership or system of values other than their own.

I could tell they were retardicans when they responded to the Presidents request for an "on-air, fully transparent discussion" with , "this could be a trap" instead of embracing this as an opportunity to work together to accomplish a goal.

Etymology: A neologism contrived by merging the phonetic similar words retarded and retaliation.
