1. Someone who stands to gain power, influence or funding by spreading fear in the general population. 2. A sophisticated type of 21st century fear monger who uses PR methods to generate panic, doubt and free-floating anxiety. 3. Dick Cheney and his ilk.

Thanks to that Fear Profiteer in Wyoming, all shampoo bottles will be banned on U.S. flights.

Profiqueering

When a company swathes itself in rainbows during Pride Month to make money and curry favor from liberal customers while still donating to conservative anti-LGBTQ politicians/campaigns year-round.

A: Did you see AT&T's Pride Month page on their website?
B: Yeah but Data For Progress reported that AT&T also donated almost $200,000 to staunchly conservative Texas Governor Greg Abbott. They're just profiqueering.

Proqueer

Unapologetically supportive of all harmless queer identities, not just the ones that are palatable or easy to explain to cishet people. Being proqueer means also supporting “weird,” “cringe,” or “contradictory” identities like xenogenders, neopronoun users, genderpunk, genderfae, catgender, bi lesbians, gaybians, and anyone else often sidelined even within queer spaces.
