Pretired 

Trialling retirement. Typically used when someone has the means to retire and wishes to see whether it suits them, but wants to leave the door open, to rejoining the workforce, should things not work out.
Bob pretired after he sold his company, aged 55. However, after only 6 months he was bored (playing golf, fishing and pottering in the garden) and rejoined workforce.

The state of succumbing to tiredness or exhaustion after thinking about everything you have to do - but before actually starting any of it.
I got home from work and was ready to run my errands, but I got pre-tired and watched Netflix all night instead.

Pretirement 

The period of time from infancy to the start of preschool where a child doesn’t have to go to school or work.
Mom 1: How is little Albert doing?

Mom 2: He’s fine. Just enjoying his pretirement.
