A phone poser. Someone who pretends they are using their phone to avoid a situation.

Guy 1: I ran into that girl the other day.
Guy 2: Did you talk to her?
Guy 1: No, I pretended like I was talking on my phone.
Guy 2: You're such a phoser.

phoser 

A person who claims to be something they are not, useally coupled with trying to fit into a certain situation. It combines the words phony, poser and loser.

When a person shows up at an event, and it becomes obvious that said person does not fit in, and attempts to do so under deceptive/misguided/sneaky tactics where those in attendance see it as such. "As soon as that person wasnt able to answer what his golf handicap was, and was wearing beat up golf shoes, I knew he didnt belong to the country club even though he acted like he had a membership for quite some time...what a phoser".

art poser 

Someone who completely lacks any artistic talent or creativity whatsoever. Always talking about themselves and their "work", these people go to great lengths to appear as real artists. Art posers have never had an original thought or idea in their lives but act as though everything they do is groundbreaking and original. They always hang together in little cliques and are highly suspicious of any "outsider"--particularly real artists who might expose them for what they really are. The titles of their "work" are always pretentious and completely meaningless; for example, a grey canvas with a small pink spot in one corner, titled "The Juxtaposition of Random Gratification #109." The lengthy descriptions they give of their "work" consist of rambling pseudointellectual bullshit that took 25 times the amount of time to compose than the actual piece itself; this is to compensate for the fact that the work only took 15 minutes to make, with no artistic ability at all. Art posers are typically so delusional that they don't realize how delusional they are. Art posers always worship Andy Warhol and strive to be just like him. Art posers often stand around in galleries, pretending to find deep meaning in other art posers' work. They frequently use the word "ambiguous" and will spend half an hour offering a pseudointellectual analysis of a grey, or blank canvas. Art posers have been known to mistake light switches in galleries as part of the sculptural exhibit.

Posery 

A place where many unoriginal people gather, usually pretending to have a broader knowledge on certain subjects, they might carry exceptionally large books, wear glasses when their sight is flawless, etc. They take stereotypes to seriously and use them to improve their social image.

Let's go to Starbucks even if it's a posery their coffee's epic.

Nerd Poser 

A person who tries to act like a nerd and refuses to accept the fact that he/she is not smart.

Eugene: It is just so annoyingly distressing that Jake displays this pretentious act to delude others to beleive he is what he is not--a classic, certified nerd.

Ludwig: Yes, yes. I have no choice, but to agree with your opinion on Jake's deceiving behavior. Personally, I will define him as a NERD POSER.

Both: (snickering and snorting in a nerdy manner.)

posers 

A poser is someone who tries to fit into a profile they aren't. People who try to give off the impression that they are one thing when they are really another.
Also, a poser can be one who says they can do something that they can't.
Or more commonly, a poser is someone who, when doing something successfully, takes more than enough credit for it.

Lots of types of Posers, for example The guys who hang out with skateboarders but can't actually skate, even though they have a board.
