The kneading action a domestic cat does with it's paws on its 'owners' body. Padrolling is best done with the claws sheathed, otherwise it can be uncomfortable. It is not known why cats padroll humans but it mimics the behaviour the kittens do to express milk from the mother cat when nursing. It is believed that it could be a way of showing affection to the human. Cats often dribble saliva when they padroll.

Words you can keep

Haters on the Payroll

The phrase simply means that you are doing extremely well and are very successful. Success, fame and fortune will inevitably come with a large amount of haters. This is not a bad thing, without haters there is no one to prove wrong. Understanding that hate is a sign of envy and jealously should be used to motivate you. Just remember, haters gonna hate, that just means you're doing well.
"Yoo dude did you see Dan Bilzerian's snap story!? Looks like he was hunting warthogs out of a chopper down in Texas with like five hot mami's, friggin epic!"

"No, I hate Dan Bilzerian. His company is gonna fail and he'll be a broke ass cat like me."

Dan Bilzerian has haters on the payroll and they are working for free.

When a writer of an online article or blog post starts or finishes a piece with pre-emptive responses to the trolling s/he is expecting to see in the comments.
Jane decided she'd better patroll her post by adding this statement at the end:

Before you start trolling in the comments and saying nobody cares, remember that this is the answer to a question I get in half of the messages from my readers.

Purple Patch

To describe coming into something good, coming into good luck and or good times.

Like walking over small green hills in the countryside then coming across a purple patch of flowers, thus it being unique and out of the ordinary.
I hit a real purple patch.

The other day this good thing happened unexpectedly then I was lucky with this, it was unique, I hit a real purple patch.
