Sophistry or pilpul used by Eastern Orthodox Christians, most commonly Western converts (also known as McOrthodox), to appear smarter and more knowledgeable than you, to denote and convey that they belong to their newly joined group (Eastern Orthodox) and generally to confuse and intimidate you by using a lot of big words usually of Greek or Slavic origin.
