Nomee 

or #NoMee is pronounced "Know me," and accompanied by a gesture of the middle and pointer fingers squeezing the nostrils. The effect is a nasal sound produced while saying the phrase. The fingers point towards the eyes - similar to the common gestures for "look at me" and "I'm watching you."

Nomee is about recognizing one's true potential, excelling in one's talent, and getting recognition for success.

Origins of Nomee:

DC area Go-go music group TOB, including rapper MrNomee aka KrisKross, debuted this catchphrase in the song "NoMEE" (2011). The band has deemed #NoMee as a movement.

Hailing from DC, Quinn Cook, Duke University Class '15, is responsible for much of the term's propagation and its increasing popularity on Twitter and among Duke University undergrads. As the Blue Devils' starting point guard, Cook (#2) is making a name for himself in college basketball. His fame has led to the spread of the #NoMeeMovement.

The people in our lives that are not quite friends and yet they are more than acquaintances. These are interesting people you meet through work, social events or your children's school. You feel uncomfortable calling them an acquaintance and yet, they are not friends.

John and I became nomees while working on the school fund raiser for the past two years.

This will be one of my biggest parties because I am inviting everyone: my friends, family, nomees and acquaintances.

On the streaming platform Twitch, people often replace the letter o with the emote "OMEGALUL"

For instance instead of saying "no" you can say "N OMEGALUL" pronounced no-mega-lul. Nomeggies is just a different way of saying "N OMEGALUL" without the emote. Popularised by the popular Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren.
