Formerly a term of offense used against blacks, now used in reference to a powerful race of dark skinned individuals. It was first brought to light by tiktok user @tonyweaverjr, who piloted a reclamation of the word and incited the start of an entire community of writers, artists, musicians, and others who create empowering content for the fictional universe.

A melanated anime/manga enthusiast who participates in perpetuating a standard of inclusivity witching the anime/ manga community.
