something very minor or pointless. It is meant to imply the person is emotionally unstable.
Midol is an analgesic typically used for menstrual cramping. While the medicines within can be used for other pains, Midol is typically marketed for such, so the fact that someone would imply
one needs a Midol is that one is acting overly emotional like they are a hysterical woman in too
much pain from cramps that they cannot think straight. Despite its gendered origins, it's often
said to men, with the added implication that the
man is completely unable to think rationally.
