Irish slang for a person who jokes around a lot. Often used by
parents to their kids, or between
friends. Non-derogatory, usually said in good humour.
Child plays prank on
parents:
Dad: "oh you're an awful messer."
Person 1: " Did you hear John went down the Main Street in a shopping trolley last
night for the craic?"
Person 2: *Laughing* "He's some messer!"
