Another word for Driveway. Typically used for longer driveways in rural settings. Usually only wide enough for one vehicle at a time.

Giving Directions:
Yeah, when you get here you can turn down our laneway (it is number 3) and at the end you can park on the grass on the left side. That way your not blocking the laneway.

Laneway 

Used as an 'in the know' synonym for 'cool'. The origin of the word is found within the heart of Melbourne, Australia's 'cool' culture: the laneway.

The word conjures imagery of graffiti (with artistic merit), hard to find bars and trendy clothing. It evokes the smells of pure espresso, gourmet focaccia and 'just created' innovative cocktails. It resonates with the sound of hip-hop jam sessions, stomping nouveau trance and funky jazz.

Lakeway Mom 

Definition- The mother of a child attending Lake Travis High School, rarely found south of Hwy 71 and 2244. Lakeway Moms drive more expensive cars than most peoples first houses. They have highlighted hair to match their daughters and have absolutely no need for employment due to their wealthy beyond belief husbands. Lakeway moms spend their money keeping their body in peak condition and clothed in the most expensive brands such as; but certainly not limited to Valentino, Versace, Guess, Prada, Chanel and Gucci (not to leave out Lulu Lemon for their yoga class attire).

Usually called being “stuck up”.

A person who believes he or she is superior to others, often times show rude, snobbish behavior; arrogant.

“If there was ever an apocalypse, all the Lakeway moms would haul ass in their white Range Rovers to the nearest whole foods located in the Galleria right off of Hwy 71 to stock up on the organic produce before it runs out.”

“Most Lakeway moms produce children that are quite similar to them, they have the best of everything, are rude to absolutely everyone around them, and have no rhyme or reason to respect others. They too, also drive nicer cars than most of the teachers at Lake Travis High School.”

lakeway girl

Often the daughter of a Lakeway Mom, a girl attending Lake Travis High School.

Lakeway girls are often found driving around in a nicer car than any teacher's at Lake Travis high school, with reusable Starbucks cups, with their drink often so sugary that a mere mortal wouldn't be able to identify such as coffee. Can be seen at the Hill Country Galleria, gossiping while wearing expensive clothing, all while buying more with daddy's credit card. Also usually call $40 water "foundation", tend to "need" AT LEAST 200 varieties of makeup, hair, and skin care products.

Slightly more normal person 1: Did you see Brooklyn announcing her bisexuality while purchasing all the makeup products in ulta today with her five pints of pink drink from Starbucks?
Slightly more normal person 2: Yeah, she's a complete Lakeway girl.
