The ability of kpop boyband BTS member Park Jimin to trend effortlessly and snatch locals whenever he does something. Also sometimes used to refer to his ability to snatch straight dudes into questioning their sexuality.

The jimin effect happens when straight males watches a clip fx in a music video (blood sweat and tears most often) and when jimin appers the affect takes place the guy whos watching it will probably say somethimg like “im straight but jimin-“ or “okay i have a girlfriend but-“ so shortly said it’s when jimin makes straight males simp for him

jimin effect
The Jimin Effect is a short circuit that happens in the wiring of the brain when one first experiences a visual encounter with BTS' Park Jimin. It inevitably results in instant feelings of love and happiness, but can take a variety of forms, depending on which version of Jimin one has encountered. If: Mochi Jimin, the affected party will generally grab the nearest person and demand to know how anyone that adorable is even possible. If: Sexy Jimin, the affected party will likely have a pause in all bodily activity while the brain tries to reconfigure everything it thought it knew about the world. This can last from several minutes to several hours, and can in some cases result in becoming frook shoken.
I just wanted to show my friend one BTS video, but the Jimin Effect happened and now we can never watch anything else ever again.
