An unexpected, surprisingly positive trait or quality, often secret, that is had by someone who is disproportionately negative, average or lackluster.

The term is an omage to the character “Jerry Gergitch” from the mockumentary series Parks and Rec who is mercilessly mocked and disrespected by everyone, but is revealed later on to have an incredibly large penis.
