The derogatory term, "Ghinder" is a racial slur that is commonly used to refer to former members of the British Raj. This term has a fruitful history, dating back to when the British Empire ruled parts of the Indian Subcontinent under the British Raj, a period of colonial rule that lasted from 1858 to 1947. During this time, the British exercised subversive control over its people. The modern nations of India, Pakistan & Bangladesh were historically known to be forced into their sovereignty, their people subjected to cruel and unjust torture. Specifically, the word is derived from the Hindi word "Gandhi" and was used as a pejorative term to describe those who were under British authority. Over time, the meaning of the term has evolved significantly, and it has come to refer to any person of South Asian descent who is seen as either low-class, dirty, or incarcerated for menial labor. However, despite its negative connotations, the slur has taken on a more positive meaning. Countless ghinders have “embraced” this term, using it as a form of in-group identification. In such communities, the word is a playful or affectionate greeting, seen as a way of establishing a sense of belonging. Additionally, courteous ghinders are able to give out 'passes'. G-word passes are primarily given out to members of different racial identifications due to their inability to say the word. However, if a pass is granted, the holder is finally able to divulge the slur, free of societal judgment.

Person 1: "Man, I hate ghinders! They smell like shit."

Person 2: "Put that on my thrice-removed cousin-brother's baby momma's dogwalker's unborn daughter!"

Person 1: "Dude, I can't believe Rohit Venkatesh works at 7/11!"

Person 2: "He's definitely a ghinder, bro."

Ghinder

A ethnic nickname for someone who was born in India otherwise known as The magic carpet land or the place where Aladin was filmed. Often used as a part of a lager word "Ghinderfoot" which describes the native tribe in which they are part of.

If that girl had anymore hair on her face she would be a ghinder.
OR
If I had anymore sand in my backyard I would be a ghinder.

Ghinder

Ghinder is a quasi-derogatory term for people of Indian descent, most oftenly used in the Northeastern part of the United States and is heavily used in the Northern New Jersey/New York area. However, it describes only those few who have a very hard time to keep clean and are new to the culture of the United States. A ghinder, also, possesses the quality of being cheap, unsanitary, and very obiedient to elders.

Damn dirty ghinder in front of me needs some Axe!
