New Englanders

People born and raised in New England

Straight forward, no bullshit, working class, often have distinct accents.

Don't feel the need to be all hug-y and flaky like Californians when they meet people. Will give you a hard time, but only if they like you.

Often found in Diners and eateries named after the same person who's going to serve you wieners and coffee milk when you walk in the door. (ie- Sally's, Barbara's...)

Considered rude by the rest of the country, but only because they're pansies and can't handle honesty.
Person 1- Yeah I just moved to Rhode Island, and my neighbor hasn't said hi or waved or anything yet... but the other day when we got snowed in he came over and shoveled me out!

Person 2- What a true New Englandah.

---
Person 1- I'm visiting here and I don't think any of the natives like me!!

Person 2- We're New Englanders, dear. Stop being so sensitive.

A combination of the Words English and Lad.

The term 'Lad' is a word to describe a typical kind of guy doing typical guy things.

Englad is an extention of that meaning a English lad acting like a stereotypical English guy.

Having a few pints, a bit of banter & a cheeky Nandos to name a few examples of Englad activities!

Some examples of it's usage:
Example 1:

Charlie: Alright Matt Mate, have you met my pal Dave?

Matt: Ohh yeah bruv! I met him down the pub the other day he's a proper Englad ain't he!?

Steve: Yeah Mate! Loves a bit of banter the old Dave!

Example 2:

Dave: Ey John, fancy goin' Ibiza with the Englads next month???

John: Some time away with the boys!? Sounds bloody mental mate! I'll call up the Englads and we can discuss more over a cheeky nandos!

Dave : Nice one Geez, Get in!

Englander is someone of English descent living in a foriegn country that has not given up their traditional cultural manerisms in favour of their adopted cultural ways.
Once an Englander always an Englander.
Despite living in an adopted culture the man remains in the ways of an Englander true to his heritage, an outsider on the inside.

Englandese

Another word for people from England, but it makes slightly more sense because 'British' and 'England' have nothing in common, but 'Englandese' and 'England' do.

'Englander' also works, but this is more fun to pronounce.
J.K. Rowling is Englandese.
