1. Something or someone that is a bit suspicious, doesn't seem quite right. Doesn't seem the real deal.

Dodgey Brothers' Constructions
Alcoholic cocktail comprised of one shot of Bacardi rum, one shot of Malibu coconut rum, and topped up with sparkling lemonade.
History: Devised in June 1999 by a group of volunteer labourers working on building wooden containers for transporting Polish folkloric dance costumes for the Ashfield, Sydney, Australia based ensemble "Syrenka". After a long day at work where they nicknamed their opearation "dodgey brothers' constructions", the DBC boys scrounged around for what refreshment they could find. All there was left was a bottle of Bacardi, a bottle of Malibu and some lemonade. They decided it went well together, and a new drink was born.
Over the following years, knowledge of the "DBC" cocktail has spread to many a pub in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra in Australia, and parts of Europe and the United States.

Dodgey Bros
Used in reference to an item, construction or situation of low production quality/effort. For example, poor construction of a house or easily destructible housewares.
Derived from a recurring Australian sketch comedy skit from the 80's starring two brothers, the "Dodgey" brothers, set up to look slightly like a home shopping advertisement, where they would peddle items of poor quality, or shady services.

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
