Ussually a result of being an extremely awkward person, this is the combination of half crying, half laughing. This occurs when such an awkward person cannot decide between the proper reation to a situation.

When someone tries to cover up their tears by laughing at a joke they actually think is funny. Until you think of something depressing, and they end up laughing and crying at the same time.
