casual filter

A part or stage in a game that escalates in difficulty in a very short period of time, separating the casuals from the actual gamers.

Not to be confused with a steep/vertical learning curve, as these mean that the game is hard to learn and master from the beginning.

Games with a casual filter will give you a false feeling of confidence as the filter comes after you have learned the basics and started progressing, just to catch you off guard and make your run end, usually having to start from zero again.

Some examples of casual filters in games include the winter in Project Zomboid and your first goblin raid in Dwarf Fortress
Person 1: Ayo wtf is this I just lost my 30h run, how do you even survive the winter?
Person 2: Welcome to the casual filter, play more and git gud

portugal caralho

An unwritten rule of the Portuguese people in the internet. When browsing random posts about our country or culture online, usually by foreigners, no matter the subject we have the patriotic duty to type in the comments :"Portugal Caralho!" as to instill our sense of national pride for our great nation!

Caps lock may be applied to emphasize excitement levels aswell as multiple exclamation points.
Random world cup commentator somwhere on the interwebs number 1: "I don't know, I don't think Portugal has the team to make it to the final! I mean they have Ronaldo, but what else?"

Portuguese patriot: "PORTUGAL CARALHO!!!"

CasualGoth

A style of Goth that is both cheap and comfortable.
The average male CasualGoth's wardrobe consists of black band shirts and graphic tees, as well as black and blue jeans. The average female's wardrobe consists of the same, with the occasional poet's cap, skirt, or lacey glove thrown in for a feminine touch. Most CasualGoths have been a part of the Goth subculture for a long time, and have discovered that they don't need dramatic makeup or outfits to be Goth. Makeup is minimal, a little eyeliner there or lipstick here, or they might just paint their nails.

Casual Peter

When you make out with a random stranger, and later find out you both go to the same University. You then proceed to act confident and casual as fuck when you see them again.
First Guy: "Dude! There's that girl you kissed last night at the party!"

Second Guy: "Chill man, I'll just pull a Casual Peter."

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.
