"Have you listened to The Magnus Archives?"
"Is that the podcast of a bunch of queer British people screaming?"
"Yeah that's the one"
"Of course, how could I forget the name of my latest hyper fixation of the past 2 months where I lock myself in a dark room and get absorbed into a podcast that at first seems like spooky stories, but transpires into something horrific and deep?"
*The phone rings, it's your mother. She's worried about you. You haven't come out of your room in 2 months. Please answer the phone*

It is a moderated archive dedicated to quality Anime, Manga, TV Show, Movies, Cartoons, Comics, and Gaming FanFiction. All the stories in this archive have been screened for spelling and grammar. The authors that post their stories don't need to be perfect, but the site does recognize the importance of good writing. All authors featured on these pages are talented and gifted writers, each with their own unique style and genre. Also, in addition to fanfiction they also welcome authors of original prose and poetry.
The moderators are responsible for checking and approving stories and chapters, and for validating authors. It's unlike those fanfic sites (i.e. fanfiction.net, quizilla) that contain absolutely horrible stories with terrible spelling, format and grammar. It's also easy to request new categories and characters to be added. All you need to do is to visit the forum.
The mods are all polite, helpful, and quick to answer any questions you have. They actually commuicate with the users of the site unlike Fanfiction.net where they don't do anything, take forever to reply, or don't talk to you when you ask them about things or problems that happen.

Author: "You should got to Lunaescence."
Author 2: "Lunaescence? What's that?"
Author: "It's Lunaescence Archives, a fanfiction site. It's a whole lot better then Quizilla and Fanfiction.net. I recommend you to check it out. They actually care about the users and listen to their thoughts and help them out when they are stuck or have a problem. Plus, the stories are really good because they check for grammar and spelling. So you don't have to worry about stories that are garbage and look like they were written by 8 year olds."

Get the Lunaescence Archives mug.metal-archives (also known as Encyclopaedia Metallum: Metal Archives) is a user-edited website, established in 2002, which purports to be a heavy metal-focused database. Although the site has garnered a reputation over the years for being "elitist" and "strict" on what can/cannot be included, many bands listed there are actually folk, ambient, industrial, gothic rock and other "headbang worthy" music their site "rules" forbade, otherwise. When you couple this with the secretive personalities of those who moderate/administer everything over there, Metal Archives has the same credibility (and "metal-bility") as Milli Vanilli by the end of the day.
METALHEAD: Metal forums should not be run like a fascist regime! And some metalcore/nu-metal shit is making it beyond the radar here? Fuck it, I'm finding another site to frequent that is actually METAL, not "metal-archives".
HERR WITCHER: I dub thee Dursted, then!
METALHEAD: What the hell is that supposed to mean?
HERR WITCHER: When we ban people from our specialz metal site, it is called dursting, like Fred Durst.
METALHEAD: For a metal site, you have an awfully strange fixation with Fred Durst!

Get the imposible, perhaps the archives are incomplete mug.An internet database of all things metal that makes teenagers run to the urban dictionary and post their angst induced feelings about the Metal Archives because their favorite ha4dc0re!@! but non-metal band was rejected.
Side Note: By doing this I have fallen in to the bullshit "my opinion matters" trap too.

Conversation at The Metal-Archives (Encyclopaedia Metallum)
Brv0tal Kid: Why is lunkin park rejected from da acrhivez, they are fucken metal!!
MA Mod: Uh.. no they are not, sorry.
Brv0tal Kid: Fuck youa are just a bunch of elitist pricksz, they are hardcore and fukn awesome. It doesn't matter if they are metal or not.
MA Mod: If it doesn't matter if they are metal or not, then why do you care so much about them being rejected.
MA Mod: and when submitting a band to the Archives, it kind of defeats the whole purpose of the website if we accept any band. Otherwise we would call is the Music Archives and add any band to our database.
