Some new phrase PDEng administration decided to coin together in the hopes that the prospective students will consider the program a useful feature that teaches a complicated worded concept.

Widely confusing innocent students with its meaninglessness as no employer in the entire globe has never heard of the term.

A reason why U of Waterloo co-op rate is going downhill on a term-by-term basis, since companies regard its students as the new "Pennsylvania Dutch" who talk in their own "PDeng Speak." Now who's fault is that?

Applerexia

When you go to an Apple store with an Apple product that needs repairing and believe it will not take much time to fix your problem but end up being in the store for 2+ hours, when the point comes where you realise you were not prepared for this and have barely eaten all day and gradually start to feel malnourished.

Customer: Man this is taking longer than I thought! I only had a small breakfast
Apple Guy: Are you heading towards the path of Applerexia?
Customer: Yeah.. you should really have snack machines in these places..

MRD applies

While giving evidence at the trial of Stephen Ward, Rice-Davies made the quip for which she is most remembered. When the prosecuting counsel pointed out that Lord Astor denied having an affair or having even met her, she replied, "Well, he would, wouldn't he?" (from Wikipedia).

Hence, "MRD applies" means "he would say that, wouldn't he". Usually used to devalue an opinion by drawing attention to the other-than-impartial situation of the person voicing it.

I think this is a silly idea, myself, but then, I’m a state regulator, so MRD applies.
