Cute, but intelligent girl who uses smarts and not looks to advance and get her way in life. She is considered to be a "nerd" in the sense of the intelligence of the word without the unsocial behavior and usual "nerdy look" (glasses, suspenders, freckles)of the usual nerd. she is FINE!!!

akeelah is very sweet, most would say antisocial but she talks a lot “sometimes” she is a good friend and she loves her friends.
