A night time program on Cartoon Network that dedicates it's shows to a fan-base audience of "14" years or older. They show anime and more 'adult' cartoons.

Sunday (11 p.m. - 2 a.m. + repeats from 2 a.m. - 5 a.m.): Family Guy, Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021/Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Brak Show/Baby Blues, Mission Hill, Home Movies.

Adult Swim 

Place were great cartoons like The Family Guy and Futurama and much anime hands out. Fun to watch, if you like cartoons but don't want lots of little kiddie crap on these days.

Futurama and The Family Guy made nothing on FOX, but on ADULT SWIM they're making more money than ever.

Adult Swim originally was the time that children weren't allowed in the pool, allowing the older crowd to swim in relative peace. Adult Swim can be applied to any time that a select group is allowed priveleges.

The website had an adult swim from eight to ten every night, when only paying members could participate.

Adult Swim 

An anime/cartoon block that comes on cartoon network after 10pm (Central Time). Was created after the early sucess of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast back in the late 90's and after the sucess of the anime block that was shown on late night saturdays. Adult swim is basically a combination of anime, cancelled fox cartoons and adult swim originals.

Shows that were/are on adult swim, as of august 3rd 2004, include:

Anime: Reign, Lupin the 3rd, Kikader, Inuyasha, Case Closed, Yu Yu Hakasho, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Big O, FLCL, Wolf's Rain, Blue Gender, Witch Hunter Robin, Tenchi Muyo.

Cartoons: Aqua teen hunger force, Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021, Baby Blues, The Brak show, The Oblongs, Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, Mission Hill, Home Movies, Family Guy, Futurama.

Adult swim is soon getting:

Adult Swim 

Cartoon Network's late night adult channel where adult anime and adult cartoons are featured for adults.

My favorite shows on there are Shin Chan, Fooly Cooly, Super Milk Chan, InuYahsa, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist and Yu Yu Hakusho (before it became beautiful Toonami material).

A long time ago, Monday through Thursday nights would have both adult anime and adult cartoons on Adult Swim. It was pretty much the same when they got Friday nights. Saturday nights after Toonami was anime's time to shine while adult cartoons show on Sunday nights.

But now on Monday throught Friday nights with Adult Swim, anime doesn't show with cartoons anymore. Anime on Adult Swim still shows on Saturday but we could use more anime on there because adult cartoons have weekday and Sunday nights and that's not really fair.
(Probably another New Cartoon Network plot against anime)

Still, Adult Swim is looking better than the new Cartoon Network.

If anyone believes this is a good Adult Swim definition and that we shuld have more anime on it, rate up. :)

Adult Swim is best known for adult animation.
