Long: An effect in which two substances or actions used in combination produce a total effect the same as the sum of the individual effects.
Short: 2 actions combine to make one big one
Gary: "Yo, wanna combine our soda together to make an additive effect?"
Charlie: "Sure! You put your Sprite first and then I will do mine"

Gary: "We have made such a large sprite"
Charlie: "Indeed"

Food Additive

Shit they put in "food" that usually promotes fat gain, obesity, and health issues. They may include preservatives, flavorings, coloring, or whatever, though it's not a problem because it increases their profit margin, and makes fat people more satisfied by the taste. However, food additives may be a "necessary evil" at times.
The FDA approved another food additive under "generally recognized as safe(GRAS)," though I get the feeling it'll make you a fatass.

Where you use a machine such as a 3D printer on a manufacturing line instead of using a machine that subtracts from the source material
The manufacturing industry is switching to additive manufacturing to save money on source material.

Commonly seen in TikTok comment sections in replies to lazy attempts at humor, overconfidentally incorrect statement, or an over-the-top comment or when someone completely misses the mark on something.
