The description of a leader who goes into hiding when their entire country is calling them out during a major event in which that leader just disappears from the public eye and refuses to acknowledge the significance of an action. The term was solidified in January 2022 when Justin Trudeau -- Prime Minister of Canada -- hid from the public and the press during an extended, large, peaceful protest across Canada regarding perceived Government overreach and authoritarianism.
The Prime Minister of Canada was peak Trudeauian when he shunned the public spotlight for the first time in years while the World's Largest Convoy objecting to vaccine mandates, accompanied by supporter, drove across the country of Canada in protest.
