An individual that either is biologically or wishes to present themselves as male, however favors many feminine attributes in lifestyle and character alongside masculine interests. The fluctuation could be in majority M/F, though it usually pertains to someone adopting significant amounts of both.

Girlish Tomboy 

A Girlish Tomboy is a girl who knows what she wants and how to play the game and still have a feminine touch.

She does things how, when, and where she pleases regardless of the opinions of either gender. The hallmark about her is that no matter what she's doing, there's always some note of feminine charm about her. It may be something as small as her wearing mascara and lip gloss, or even something as obvious as wearing skirts and dresses, but she always knows how to add her own personal twist of femininity to anything she does.

Tomboys give 0 fucks about whats going on or who talks about them. They'd rather spend the day in the mud wrestling with their friends then to stay inside painting their nails. A tomboy doesn't have to play a sport. Tons of girly girls play sports so it doesn't really matter.
