Techthetics (tech·thet·ics) noun
1. A set of principles concerned with the confluence* of technology and aesthetics, or simply put form & function.

2. The study and criticism of the manner in which these two design ethics are prioritized & balanced when expressed in combination - whether manifest in a physical form (a product or a tool or even a work of art) or in less tangible designs (as in a method, system or functional group / network of individuals) - these can all be examples of the embodiment of those two often disparate, sometimes harmonic creative forces. -N.
