Tandoorettes Syndrome

The condition of occasionally slipping into an Indian accent for particular words or phrases. Similar to tics that characterise Tourettes Syndrome.

Usually experienced by english-speaking people of Indian heritage, possibly from subconciously taking on speech aspects of relatives during childhood, possibly from watching too much Russel Peters.

NYU Tandon

NYU Tandon is the school of engineering and applied science at New York University and is one of the highly ranked engineering programs in the nation. It is the second oldest private school of engineering and technology in the United States. The school's main campus is in Brooklyn's MetroTech Center, an urban academic-industrial research park.

It is one of several engineering schools that were founded based on a European polytechnic university model in the 1800s, in response to the increasing industrialization of the United States. It has been a key center of research in the development of microwave, wireless, radar, electronics in general, polymers, industrial engineering and operations research and the US space program.

The school dates back to 1854 when its predecessor institutions, the University of the City of New York School of Civil Engineering and Architecture and the Brooklyn Collegiate and Polytechnic Institute, were founded. The school was renamed in 2015 in honor of NYU Trustees Chandrika and Ranjan Tandon following their donation of $100 million to the school.

Its past and present graduates and faculty include Nobel Prize winners, National Medals for Science, Technology and Innovation winners, astronauts, Russ Prize, IEEE Edison Medal, Turing Award, Gordon Prize and Draper Prize winners and over 100 of National Academy of Engineering members.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
