Spectocracy 

Spectocracy (n.): A system of governance or societal control in which power is exercised through spectacle, image, and media performance, rather than substance, democratic legitimacy, or rational discourse.

During the rise of the new media age in the early twenty-first century, America twice elected a corrupt and vile reality show star and piece of vapid orange fap trash as their president, thus completing its transformation from democracy to spectocracy.

and the popular policy proposals that are harmless for passage,
with danger being defind as something that harms the autocrats.
