The term was coined on January 26, 1900 by Theodore Roosevelt when his coworker expressed his frustration of not being able to get laid. Roosevelt proclaimed, "Speak softly and carry a big dick, you will get laid." He took Roosevelt's advice, although it has never been officially confirmed if he got laid.

He was raised by by his great-aunt and her two daughters in Harlem in the 40's and years later graduated CumLaude from Harvard University in Economics. Later on he would be known to the general public through appareances on the Free to Choose series, interviews-discussions with William F Buckley, Hoover Institution interviews, Sowell's books and more.
Anecdote: He was a Marxist throughout all his youth, even when taking his Ph.D in Chicago with Milton Friedman as a teacher. However, one summer working as an intern for the Department of Labor made him assume that the general interest and the government interest weren't on the same line.

Get the sofea mug.A softlock is a savestate in video games where you are placed in an inescapable situation, preventing progress forward in the game, and also preventing backtracking, leaving you stuck in a particular position with no hopes of escaping. This is usually the product of design flaws, overlooked mechanics or levels, or simply glitches embedded in a game.
The most common way to escape a softlock is to restart the game from the beginning.
Examples of a softlock may include but are not limited to: death on spawn, spawning inside a wall, a game autosaving right the instant before you die, etc.
Gamer1: "Dude, the yesterday I reached the hardest level in the game, but the game autosaved while I had 1 HP and a monster was shooting at me. Now everytime I load my save file I die right away!"
