Unfortionatly I thought of this too late, but, dictionaries have second deffinitions so maybe this can be a secondary way to use "snaggleberry."
Snaggleberry:Homeless scavenger. The kind of person you see walking down the street with a shopping cart, three coats, and bags tied with rope and then tied to his arm. They sleep in boxes or with newspapers behind grocery stores and occasionally fall asleep in the store during winter. Snaggleberries are usually insane. They speak in riddles or circles but usually mumble about....something, never are thier cloths new or in any way matching. Approach with caution and if possible, an open mind.

My manager and I were closing the store when we saw a bum walk in. He roamed around for awhile, fell asleep on a pallet of wood pellets, and eventually bought a bananna. This is a snaggleberry.
See someone dumpster diving? Snaggleberry.
Picking up cans from a ditch? Snaggleberry.
